Executive Summary About InfiniFast Ltd.

InfiniFast (www.InfiniFast.com) is an "InfiniBandTM system solutions producer" providing InfiniBandTM solutions to System Integrators in the new InfiniBandTM market. Founded by two engineers with hardware design experience of over 20 years in the Telecommunications and Image Processing markets, InfiniFast is one of the fastest InfiniBandTM product designers and producers in the world.

Markets

The popularity of the Internet and the demand for 24x7 uptime is driving system performance and reliability requirements to levels that today's standard interconnect architectures can no longer support. Data storage elements; web, application and database servers; and enterprise computing is driving the need for fail-safe, always available systems offering ever higher performance. The trend in the industry is to move storage out of the server to isolated storage networks and distribute data across fault tolerant RAID arrays. With clock speeds passing the gigahertz threshold and network bandwidth exceeding one gigabit per second, there is a need for a radical new I/O interconnect, offering higher bandwidth to support and scale with today's devices.
InfiniBand is a point-to-point high speed switch fabric interconnect architecture with built in quality of service, fault tolerance and scalability. InfiniBand is not aimed solely at the storage market. It also is intended to serve communications. InfiniBand uses IPv6 headers natively, and can connect to LAN and WAN switches and routers with TCA, providing a seamless transition between the system area network and external networks.
Seven of the computing industry's leaders, Compaq, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems have joined together to address this important issue by leading an independent industry body called the InfiniBandSM Trade Association ( http://www.infinibandta.org).

InfiniFast's customers are storage companies, and IP to IB bridge developers. We have contacts with US firms that deal with storage and high bandwidth systems in addition to IB software development firms.

The Team

Our management team has more then 20 years of experience in hardware design for the Telecommunication and Image Processing Industry including special skills in complex FPGA designs, high-speed (1.25-2.5 Gb/sec) designs and in house layouts.
Mr. Eli Dahan (B.Sc. Electronic Engineering from the Technion, M.B.A. from Manchester university) is the founder of Elik-tronics Ltd. (http://www.elik-tronics.com) whose main customers are ECI Telecommunications and Applied Materials. Mr. Ofer Yaaran (B. Sc. From the Technion) has former experience in Sales and Marketing, working for StarHome Ltd. (a Comverse company), and before that with RIT technologies Ltd. (part of the RAD group).
